Tuesday, November 17th, 2009This is a video of a small bot fly being surgically removed from my shoulder. I got the bot fly during an 8-day hike in the Bolivian Amazon. It wasn’t until 3 weeks later that I realized what it was. I know that we could have suffocated the litter bugger and then removed it ourselves, but we were traveling at the time and were in a big city, and I just wanted to get it out of my body.
